How to get there

The Blue Duck can be reached in several ways:

FROM MELBOURNE VIA PRINCES HIGHWAY TO BAIRNSDALE.
Turn off at Bairnsdale to the Omeo Highway. Once in Omeo take the Omeo Highway for 30 kilometres. This is a winding bitumen road which bring you to the front door of the Duck

FROM MELBOURNE TO MT. BEAUTY
Then to Falls Creek, past Rocky Valley Dam, across the Bogong High Plain to the Omeo Highway. Turn right and travel 11 kilometres to the Blue Duck. This is the most scenic Road but the Falls Creek Road is closed during the snow season.

FROM MELBOURNE TO BRIGHT
Over Mt. Hotham to Omeo and the Omeo Highway to the Blue Duck.

FROM ALBURY via Mitta Mitta

Though Eskdale, Mitta Mitta past Mt Wills and Glen Wills, along the Omeo Highway y to the Blue Duck, part gravel, part bitumen.  Approximately 2 1/2 hours

Falls Creek is approximately 40 minutes from the Duck.

Mount Beauty 11/2 hours

Omeo 30 minutes

Dinner Plain 1 hour and Hotham 11/2 hours
